Javad Ruhi

#JavadRuhi, 36 years old from Amol, northern Iran, was arrested in Nowshahr on September 21 for taking part in #IranRevolution. In the case of “setting fire to the traffic police kiosk,” #JavadRouh was tried in the Revolutionary Court of Sari on December 13, in which he was accused of “burning & destroying public property” & “inciting citizens to create insecurity & collusion to commit crime vs security.” Charged with “Corruption on earth” and “Muharebe,” meaning “Waging war against God,” apostasy, and insulting Quran, and was sentenced to death three times!

According to his appointed lawyer: “Javad Ruhi has a mental illness and did not participate in any arson or destruction. Based on the alleged documents of the court, including the film, Javad was only present at the scene, but he didn’t commit any criminal behavior, and his arrest and death sentence were only due to his presence. In fact, it seems that the bailiffs arrested everyone they could identify, and the Sari Revolutionary Court sentenced them to death regardless of whether or not they committed a crime with the aim of maximum suppression.”

Update: According to Javad’s parents Sari Revolutionary Court sentenced Javad to death three times! His life is in imminent danger!

You can also reach out to your senators, parliament members, and other representatives and request immediate action to put pressure on the Islamic Republic. Ask them to give political sponsorship to our revolution prisoners who are at risk of the death penalty at any moment. You can help us to stop this crime by raising the political cost of executions for the Islamic regime!

To Whom It May Concern,

Since September 16th, after the murder of a 22-year-old woman, Mahsa Amini, by the so-called morality police, Iranians have been protesting for freedom, human rights, minority rights, and women’s right to self-expression.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has responded with a lethal reaction, killing hundreds of its citizens nationwide with military artillery and arresting thousands.

The ruthless suppression of Iranian demonstrators has reached entirely new heights.

Two detained protesters, Mohsen Shekari and Majid Reza Rahnavard, were put to death on December 8th and 12th, respectively, without going through a fair trial, having access to independent counsel, or having the option to ask for an appeal.

The IR regime is about to execute hundreds of people.

Members of the German parliament, such as Ye-One Rhie, Carlos Kasper, and Martin Diedenhofen, were the first to decide to be political sponsors of several arrested protestors who were given death sentences. Politicians’ backing is vital. When elected officials publicly defend a political prisoner, more attention is attracted to their fate. The media cover their activism, and the attention serves to safeguard innocent prisoners.

We need your help, and we urge you to act quickly to stop this massacre. Your actions can include, but are not limited to, the following:

– Announce your political sponsorship or advocate for the prisoners in imminent danger [1], [2].

– Publicly call on all nations to recall their ambassadors from Tehran and to remove all the regime’s diplomats.

– Declare all regime associates, including the IRGC, and the Supreme Leader Khamenei, as terrorist organizations and impose swift sanctions against them.

– Demand that UN specialists keep a close eye on the situation and urge the authorities to take extraordinary measures to halt executions.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this important, sensitive message and offer your support to save lives and the values Iranians are fighting for.

Sincerely,
